The SciFan™ Universe: A Scientific Creationist Story

A featured part of the SciFan™ Magazine will include a unique web serial fiction called The SciFan™ Universe: A Scientific Creationist Story. And yes, the name is meant to be controversial. Why? Think about the Harry Potter Universe. There are countless groups who have banned Harry Potter from their schools, churches, communities, and even entire countries. Many teachers and leaders have felt that Harry Potter should be banned from classrooms because it ‘glorifies witchcraft’.

This is an ongoing controversy and a lot of people are very heated about this topic… but what does it do? It gives J.K. Rowling free publicity! By banning her books, they are shooting themselves in the foot as children become even more attracted to this ‘forbidden fruit’ of literature.

Where am I going with this? The theory of Creationism (a.k.a. Intelligent Design) has already been banned from public schools by the Supreme Court in 1987. The controversy is centered around the separation between Church and State, and is a very heated topic. Mind you, The SciFan™ Universe: A Scientific Creationist Story will not be teaching Creationism in any fashion – nor will we ever breach the topic of who or what is God. Simply, the Title is an oxymoron and suggests blasphemy. Our goal is to stir up our own controversy in a unique marketing ploy of Product Differentiation. Every contributing author to The SciFan™ Universe will receive special recognition, and the ultimate goal is to boost awareness of that author’s writing style. This will hopefully lead to curiosity and sales of their other works.
